Dental Implants

A dental implant is a long-term solution for replacing one or more of your missing teeth.  Implants are placed directly into the jawbone during a simple surgical procedure to provide a strong anchor to support a crown, or for larger spaces, a bridge or denture.  Dental implants provide a long lasting and very natural looking solution to replace any missing teeth to restore confidence and improve your ability to chew food effectively.

The procedure can be booked following a consultation with one of our experienced implantologists.  During the consultation the implantologist will assess your suitability for implants, discuss the benefits and potential risks as well as any alternative solutions that you will need to consider.

The placement of implants involves a relatively simple surgical procedure during which the Titanium implanted is placed into the jawbone.  Once placed the implant should be left in place for several months to allow healing and for strong bone integration to the implant.

Once we are confident that bone healing and integration is complete, your dentist will then take an impression of the implant to enable our highly skilled technicians to make your replacement crown (for a single tooth), or bridge/denture if replacing more than one missing tooth.

At Clearstone our consultant specialist oral surgeon offers a comprehensive implant placement service that ranges from single unit implant cases to full mouth rehabilitation cases including complex bone grafting procedures.
